She belonged to the Bogomil branch of ancient pravoslavie. This mysterious branch grows from Hyperborea and reaches Nightingale Mountain, near the city of Ephesus, where, according to legend, the Mother of God spent her last 15 earthly years in seclusion. Here, according to historical chronicles, the Most Holy Virgin founded a spiritual school of ascetics of the Ephesian caves, from which the branch extends to the hesychasts of Athos, the non-possessors of Nil of Sora, Paisiy Velichkovsky and the Sarov hermitage.<\/span><\/p>\n Euphrosinia, like Serafim of Sarov, taught a unique practice of spirit-acquisition. She considered the acquisition of the Holy Spirit to be the goal of the path.<\/span><\/p>\n She was a wanderer guided from above by the Mother of God Herself. In the tradition of ancient Bogomil pravoslavie, many thousands of guided ones are known, popularly called calicas walking. Calicas (emphasis on “A”) comes from the Old Slavic “calica” \u2013 chalice, cup-bearers, carrying higher love in their hearts-chalices. How many of them, yurodivy heavenly messengers, apostolated on the boundless expanses of Great Tarkhtaria, White Rus: guided ones, walkers, boyans, minnesingers, skomorokhs, earthly wanderers. She imprinted the living Mother of God within her, they were one soul, one spirit. She combined the sacred silence of the inner man and the fiery zeal for perfect holiness.<\/span><\/p>\n The uniqueness of Euphrosinia is not so much in her practice of praying for forgiveness of sins and breaking the covenant with the evil one, but in her special favorable attitude towards man. For her, man was the highest value and treasure of the universe.<\/span><\/p>\n She had the ability to read the human soul like a book. Before giving spiritual advice, she talked to a person for a long time, reading into the heart. Having presciently determined the severity of the chalice of sins and the covenant with the prince of darkness, she set a specific goal \u2014 to acquire the Holy Spirit. This was also facilitated by fasting, prayer, prostrations, ablution in holy springs. But asceticism and spiritual practice were not an end in themselves, Euphrosinia considered the warming of the spirit and the lightening of the chalice of sins to be the goal. But she considered the entrance into bliss to be the highest of all gifts. And God glorified the Bogomil maiden with myrrh-streaming relics.<\/span><\/p>\n Outwardly, she was a wretched homeless woman, and inwardly she was the Queen of Sheba, merciful, forgiving, compassionate, and at the same time steadfast in spiritual principles. Not the slightest compromise or servility. Strict and at the same time kind and indulgent.<\/span><\/p>\n She guided on the path of love, which involves living according to the statute of universal spirituality. She often repeated that love without the cross is an antichrist temptation. A cross without love is the inquisition.<\/span><\/p>\n She taught that it is not enough to believe in Christ, you have to become Christ. What matters is not faith in God, but love for God and for a person.<\/span><\/p>\n How many of them were in the tradition of the Bogomils \u2013 the living christs and god-bearers among the good people. In the old days, it was believed that whoever has the Spirit of God is Christ! The eldress sacredly believed that a good folk tradition would be revived!<\/span><\/p>\n People are drawn to illuminaries in search of changing their lives in the direction of enlightenment and becoming kinder.
